Frome Lions Club have two teams climbing Everest this year!
Team 2 consists of myself, Lion President Greg Wood, Sean McCabe & Chris Bailey-Green. Frome Lions have often supported Forever Friends over the past 20 years and given the strains on our helath service at the moment, its time to do so again.
So, across April & may we will be climbing Everest as a team by going up our stairs a lot of time - socially distanced of course !
The Forever Friends Appeal is the fundraising charity of the Royal United Hospitals (RUH) Bath and raises vital funds to support a range of innovative projects and capital redevelopments.
Charitable funds raised by our supporters unlock the very best in modern healthcare for our catchment population of more than half a million people across Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire - going above and beyond the remit of the NHS.
Everest is 8,848 metres high and that is a lot of flights of stairs - something like 50 flights a day for 2 months. Our activity totaliser will show as kilometres (km) instead of metres (m) - but we will be logging our activity daily to track our progress, so you can too.
So, please sponsor us/donate - remember the money is going to RUH Forever Friends, not Frome Lions.
